I’m Lorinda Pretorius, a Registered Counsellor (HPCSA) based in Centurion, South Africa.
My work focuses on relationships, emotional depth, and human flourishing. I specialise in in-person couples counselling and online Christian counselling for international clients.
I am particularly drawn to the places where people feel stuck. Conflict in relationships. Tension between faith and desire. The longing for connection paired with fear of vulnerability.

How I Work
I believe that most relationship struggles are not about a lack of effort or care, but about unseen patterns, unmet needs, and unspoken fears.
In my work with couples, I pay close attention to:
- How conflict shows up and what it protects
- Emotional responsiveness and repair
- Patterns of pursuit, withdrawal, and misunderstanding
- The stories partners tell about themselves and each other
My approach is holistic, meaning I consider emotional, relational, psychological, and, when relevant, spiritual dimensions of a person’s life.
Faith-Integrated Counselling
For clients who desire it, I offer counselling that integrates Christian faith with psychological insight.
This is not directive or prescriptive work. It is a space to think honestly about faith, sexuality, boundaries, meaning, childhood wounds and desire.
